Suns star Kevin Durant has been a proverbial punching bag for fans and media alike over the years, in large part for his social media battles and squabbles with members of the press.

Durant, who continues to excel on the floor when healthy, seems to be in a constant search of happiness in regard to his NBA career, as he’s been jumping from team-to-team in search of a third championship.

FS1’s Ric Bucher commented on Durant’s demeanor with fans and media alike on Thursday’s episode of Speak, which included an interesting piece of advice for the future Hall of Famer.

“Kevin Durant needs to get married,” Bucher said during a Thursday segment. “Kevin Durant needs a relationship that teaches him what you have to respond to and what you just let go. And that, for me, is what marriage taught me… what’s really important.”

Bucher went on to say that he himself is aware of the criticism of him as an analyst, but that he knows to only respond to the criticism that comes from people who he respects.

It’s clear that’s the part of the message he was trying to get across to Durant, who seems to respond to all different types of criticism surrounding him, both on and off the floor.

Perhaps Durant will have a response to Bucher’s unsolicited advice. For now though, it appears to be yet another opportunity for a media member to comment on the former MVP’s career, whether he likes it or not.
