College basketball fans everywhere had their brackets busted Thursday when two key upsets occurred in the afternoon window of the men’s NCAA tournament.

In the South Region, No. 13-seed Furman upset No. 4-seed Virginia when a desperation pass from Kihei Clark went awry. Not too long after that, No. 15-seed Princeton stunned No. 2-seed Arizona with stifling defense and timely offense down the stretch to put the Ivy League champions over the top.

Brackets all around the college basketball world burned figuratively, including President Joe Biden’s selections, which included Virginia advancing to the Elite Eight and Arizona as the national champion.

The president also picked No. 12-seed Charleston to upset No. 5-seed San Diego State in the South Region. Instead, the Aztecs won a hard-fought contest to advance to the round of 32.

Let this be a lesson to all college basketball fans out there. No bracket is safe, not even one completed by the president of the United States.
