No. 13 seed Furman’s electric late-game comeback to upset No. 4 seed Virginia has been one of the moments of the men’s NCAA tournament thus far.

Legendary play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan was on the call for truTV, as Virginia senior guard Kihei Clark was trapped in the corner on his own baseline and threw the ball away.

The turnover led to a game-winning three by Paladins star JP Pegues, who canned the open jumper with 2.2 seconds remaining.

Harlan’s call was so incredible that CBS released the behind the scenes footage, which went viral on Monday. Harlan leans back in his seat to yell “GOOD!” when Pegues made the three, which left his color analysts Stan Van Gundy and Dan Bonner in a state of absolute shock.

Harlan’s professionalism shone through even further, when he stretched his arms across to Van Gundy and Bonner to tell them not to say anything, as Harlan let the crowd reaction to the big time shot take over the moment.

After a few seconds of the crowd reaction, Harlan chimed in.

“Did we just see what we think we just saw? Wow!” Harlan exclaimed emphatically.

Harlan’s call is the latest for him in an iconic career, as he remains one of the best play-by-play announcers in American sports.
