Bill Murray Tried to Get UConn’s Dan Hurley to Take His Shirt Off After Win
Comedian Bill Murray couldn’t help but poke fun at Arkansas after UConn crushed the Razorbacks 88–65 in the Sweet 16 matchup on Thursday night.
Murray, who was in the audience supporting his son who works for the Huskies, was part of UConn’s cheering section after the game. The “Caddyshack” star had quite the message for UConn coach Dan Hurley after the win: Murray motioned for Hurley to take his shirt off.
With this seemingly odd request, Murray was poking fun at Arkansas coach Eric Musselman, who notably ripped his shirt off after the team’s Round of 32 upset win over Kansas last weekend. Musselman’s celebration went viral, and it seems Murray was well aware.
Murray signaled at Hurley to take off his shirt by pretending to take off his vest. Hurley didn’t appear to be interested in following in Musselman’s footsteps, though.
UConn will take on the winner of the game between Gonzaga and UCLA in the Elite Eight on Saturday.
