This was a terrible call.

You would think if someone landed on you in a basketball game and smooshed your face into the court that the refs wouldn’t punish you for having your face smooshed into the court, right?

Well, apparently you’d be wrong because that’s exactly what happened to San Diego State’s Matt Bradley during Friday night’s Sweet 16 battle with Alabama.

Bradley was diving for a loose ball when he was called for the most painful, and mind-boggling, foul of the men’s NCAA tournament. It was such a bad whistle that his coach quickly got a technical foul for yelling at the refs about how bad of a call it was.

Look at this:

Ouuuuuuuuuuch.

There’s no way in the world Bradley should have been called for a foul there. Be better, refs.
