The 2023 MLB season starts later this week, which means teams still have a few days left to figure things out before the real games begin.

For the Oakland A’s, they might want to work on remembering how many outs there are in an inning, because while that seems like an easy thing to do, they forgot about that during Sunday’s spring training game against the San Francisco Giants and caused total chaos by running off the field after just two outs.

Seriously, that’s a thing that happened in a professional baseball game. The A’s thought they got the Giants out three times in the sixth inning and then took off for their dugout.

They might have gotten away with it, too, if Giants manager Gabe Kapler hadn’t noticed and alerted the umps.

That’s pretty wild.
