Houston native Megan Thee Stallion had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Astros Opening Day game vs. the White Sox on Thursday, and fans loved it.

It was a big night at Minute Maid Park as Houston played its first game since winning the 2022 World Series. The festivities included the raising of the banner ahead of the game.

This World Series ceremony was followed by the three-time Grammy award winner approaching the mound to toss out the first pitch, sporting a personalized Astros jersey.

The announcers said that the rapper was “throwing strikes” before the ceremonial first pitch. When the time came, Megan’s pitch went a little wide, but it was met with a large applause from the crowd.

The Houston native couldn’t hold back her excitement after the pitch. Even though it wasn’t a strike, it kicked off a momentous day in what should be another thrilling season for the defending champs.
