In this story:

When you watch a Major League Baseball game, it’s not uncommon to see umpires miss close calls. The strike zone gets a little fuzzy, and pitches that look like balls can be ruled strikes or vice versa.

Not seen often, however, is a horribly missed call like the one on Wednesday afternoon in the Mets vs. Brewers game.

New York catcher Omar Narvaez slapped a hit into right field that was fair by a few feet. The first base umpire, however, somehow missed the call and ruled it a foul ball.

The Mets announcers rightfully couldn’t believe it and made their opinions known:

It wasn’t close to being foul. Thankfully the play was reviewed and Narvaez was given a single—though it’s possible he could’ve gotten a double out of it.

Want to know why the ump missed the call? Because he wasn't watching the ball:

Not great!
