Perhaps no player in the NBA is better suited for engaging in Twitter beef than Draymond Green. On Sunday, the Warriors forward took the perfect opportunity to show he kept the receipts.

During the regular-season finale against the PelicansTimberwolves center Rudy Gobert and forward Kyle Anderson got into an altercation on the team’s bench, with Gobert taking a swing at Anderson before the pair were separated by teammates.

Shortly after the incident, Green lobbed out a tweet seemingly throwing shade Gobert’s way, echoing a message the Minnesota big man sent months earlier after Green got into a fight with his teammate, Jordan Poole, during practice. Back then, Gobert posted a cryptic tweet that, though not directly referencing the Green-Poole fight, seemingly alluded to it.

Green using Gobert’s own words against him after Gobert found himself in a similar situation is just perfect pettiness execution. The four-time NBA champion has never been shy about speaking his mind, and has parlayed his colorful personality into his own podcast. Surely, his latest war of the words would make good fodder for an upcoming episode.

Though unlikely, it’s possible for the Warriors and Timberwolves to meet in a later playoff round. If that should happen, we can only hope that Green and Gobert are prepared to keep the combative juices flowing on the court like they apparently are on social media.
