Hanna and Haley Cavinder announced that they would not be returning to school for their fifth-year of eligibility at Miami, a shocking move that changed the outlook of the ACC next season.

The twins joined The Today Show on NBC on Thursday morning to discuss their careers and what’s next.

“I think after playing all four years together and deciding not to take our fifth year, we decided there’s more opportunities besides basketball,” Haley said. “Obviously it’s such a difficult position to be in, because we wanted to take our fifth year and continue to play, but I think it came down to just optimizing all the opportunities that we have ahead of us.”

One such opportunity could be with the WWE, who the Cavinder twins have partnered with in the past through an NIL deal. Could they find themselves competing for tag team titles in professional wrestling? Never say never, but despite Haley’s non-definitive answer, the internet is convinced that the next move for the duo will be away from one sport and into another.

“We love the WWE,” Haley said. “Their fanbase, their sport, the fitness side of it. That fits to Hanna and I’s brain and aligns great with us. So yeah, we’re very excited about the future with them.”

Here are some of the best reactions from social media capturing the excitement of a potential jump to wrestling for the Cavinder twins.
