Rick Fox Claps Back at Spencer Dinwiddie After Mention in Kyle Kuzma Feud
The longstanding feud between former teammates Spencer Dinwiddie and Kyle Kuzma has taken another bizarre twist.
This time former Lakers great Rick Fox got involved.
Here’s a quick synopsis of what has happened so far:
Dinwiddie said in a postgame press conference as a member of the Mavericks that the Wizards don’t play winning basketball. Kuzma responded by saying Dallas does not play winning basketball.
Kuzma then further escalated the feud by tweeting that “The wizards and I have so much real estate on Dins—tie Island. This guy got signed by a team 60ms and was traded before the following season was over. What in the world have you won in this league? Lol you’ve been bounced around like a basketball my boy.”
So how did Rick Fox get involved?
Well, Dinwiddie decided to respond to Kuzma to keep the feud going. In part, the Nets guard said, “Some people are blessed to be in situations. We don’t get mad at Rick Fox for winning a championship with Kobe and Shaq. Some people are blessed and that’s great, but we can’t act like Rick Fox led them to a championship.”
Rick Fox caught wind of Dinwiddie’s comments that threw the former Lakers star into the fray, and immediately responded on Twitter.
“Hey [Spencer Dinwiddie] #NiceToMeetYou. Thanks for the introduction [Clutch Points App] ~ this is a photo of the three captains that Phil Jackson chose to lead his Lakers Team to Back2Back2Back Championships ~ Who is Rick Fox? I AM #TheOther #TheEnforcer KEYS: #DefenseWinsChampionships”
Fox was obviously a key role player alongside stars Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal to multiple Lakers championships during the team’s peak under Phil Jackson, and the former NBA star made sure to remind Dinwiddie of who he was speaking about.
Long live the Kuzma and Dinwiddie feud.
