Don’t Look Now, but Doc Rivers Just Became a Meme Again

This isn’t the first time the 76ers coach has unintentionally caused a stir on social media.

Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers has endured his fair share of time as an internet meme over the years.

Saturday was no different, as a video of the longtime coach reacting to a play during Philadelphia’s Game 1 over the Nets swept across social media.

Rivers was reacting to a foul Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith committed against 76ers star Joel Embiid, who went to the ground seemingly in pain. But, of course Rivers’s reaction was captured on video, creating the perfect base for a new Doc meme.

To provide some background, the 61-year-old coach looked confused as to what occurred between Finney-Smith and Embiid. This allowed fans to pair Rivers’s confused reaction with captions for the perfect scenario in which people would spark a confused look.
