Blue Jays reliever Anthony Bass took to Twitter on Sunday to voice his complaints over the treatment of his wife during a recent flight with United Airlines.

In an attempt to put the airline on blast, Bass revealed that his 22-week pregnant wife was “made” to clean up the mess made by their children. In the reliever’s eyes, the airline’s “cleaning crew” should be responsible for tidying up after his child spilled their popcorn.

“The flight attendant @united just made my 22 week pregnant wife traveling with a 5 year old and 2 year old get on her hands and knees to pick up the popcorn mess by my youngest daughter. Are you kidding me?!?!” He tweeted.

Seemingly expecting the internet to back him up, Bass found himself getting torn apart on the social media platform, with just about no one feeling even an ounce of sympathy for his situation.

“Genuinely curious who should clean up the mess your 2 year old made? As a parent of three kids I am the one responsible for them,” wrote one commenter

Bass responded to that commenter, saying, “The cleaning crew they hire!!”

Bass is married to Sydney Rae James, the sister of former NFL star Eric Decker’s wife, Jessie James Decker. The couple has three kids together.
