Seahawks coach Pete Carroll woke up on NFL draft day and chose violence, confusing Seattle fans even more about who the team plans to pick in the first round on Thursday night with a series of tweets, something that has become an annual tradition for him.

With just hours before the first round kicks off at 8 p.m. ET, Carroll went on a tweeting spree offering “clues” as to who the Seahawks will select. However, the clues left fans with conflicting guesses as to what Carroll meant.

The first clue was a quote tweet of a trailer for the Netflix hit dating show Love Is Blind, the new season of which debuted on March 24. The recent fourth season of the show took place in Seattle.

The most common guess fans had is that this clue meant Seattle could be trading down from their first pick, which is at No. 5 right now, because the live Love Is Blind reunion from two weeks ago was delayed and ended up not airing live, as originally intended.

The second clue left fans even more confused as to what Carroll could be insinuating. The longtime coach posted a link to the Seattle Kraken’s goal song, “Lithium” by Nirvana. Fans spent time trying to figure out connections to various prospects in the comments, but there wasn’t a general consensus about what it could mean.

Carroll kept the clues going as he later posted a photo of the actor Carl Weathers, who is known for playing Apollo Creed in the Rocky movie series, but who also had a short NFL career in the 1970s. Fans wondered if the coach’s latest tweet meant that the team planned to select a linebacker, the position Weathers played in the league.

Thankfully for Seahawks fans, they won’t have to wait too long to figure out who the team ends up selecting on Thursday night. In Sports Illustrated’s mock drafts by both Albert Breer and Kevin Hanson, Seattle selects Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter at No. 5. The team has an additional first-round pick at No. 20.
