New Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, the No. 8 pick in Thursday’s first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has been repping his new team since long before draft day.

Robinson, an Arizona native who spent his college career putting up monster numbers at Texas, shared a picture on Twitter on Friday of himself in a red and black youth football uniform with “Falcons” in small print across the front of the jersey. There even appears to be a logo on the sleeve that matches the Atlanta Falcons’ logo.

Robinson posted the picture alongside a picture of him lifting his new Falcons jersey on stage after being announced as Atlanta’s new running back with the caption, “Like I said God had it written all along! So happy to get rollin with the @AtlantaFalcons.”

It’s pretty wild that he was wearing No. 8 as a kid and got taken with the No. 8 pick by the Falcons.

In Atlanta, Robinson joins a talented nucleus of young skill position players that includes fellow former top-10 picks Kyle Pitts and Drake London along with an established young running back in Tyler Allgeier. SI’s Matt Verderame and Gilberto Manzano gave Atlanta an ‘A’ grade for the pick, describing Robinson as “the most dynamic playmaker in the draft.”
