Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuña Jr. is an immensely gifted athlete. As evidence, look no further than the incredible balance he displayed in successfully stealing his 14th base of the season.

In the top of the sixth inning against Miami on Tuesday night, the three-time All-Star went head over heels—literally.

Acuña, who was questionable to play in the game after suffering a shoulder contusion yesterday, was remarkably able to keep his hand on second base while unintentionally completing a full somersault.

If Acuña had been unable to keep his hand on the base, he would have been out, as Marlins shortstop Jon Berti kept the tag on throughout the entire tumble.

Acuña, who led the National League in 2019 with 37 stolen bases, is well on his way to surpassing that total in 2023 leading all major league players with 14 swipes in just 31 games.

Acuña, who has played a pivotal role in the Braves’ 21-10 start to the season, ranks third in the NL with a .362 batting average. He also has five home runs and 17 RBIs on the season.
