The Titans’ first round pick in this year’s draft, offensive tackle Peter Skoronski, spoke with a few other teams at the NFL combine a month prior. One of his most memorable conversations was with Falcons head coach Arthur Smith, but it wasn’t exactly for a good reason.

“The head coach [Smith] was on me the second I got in there,” Skoronski said, via The Athletic’s Connor Allen. “I was giving them generic answers to their questions, and he said, ‘You’re really boring me right now. Your answers are so boring.’ The whole meeting, he kept looking at his computer. I was kind of laughing to myself and said, ‘Sorry, I don’t know what you want me to do. I’m answering you honestly.’”

Needless to say, Smith didn’t seem interested in drafting Skoronski with their eighth pick, opting instead to take standout running back Bijan Robinson. The Falcons did end up selecting an offensive tackle in the second round when they drafted Syracuse’s Matthew Bergeron.

Skoronski, a unanimous All-American at Northwestern, was selected shortly after Atlanta passed on him when Tennessee drafted him with the No. 11 pick.
