While appearing on the McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning show Wednesday, former NFL running back Bo Jackson shared he has been dealing with a rather strange medical condition for about a year now. And, naturally, an unorthodox problem warrants an unorthodox answer.

“I’ve had the hiccups since last July,” Jackson said. “I’m getting a medical procedure done the end of this week, I think, to try to remedy it. I’m busy at the hospital sitting up with the doctor’s poking me, shining lights down my throat, probing me every way they can to find out why I’ve got these hiccups.”

When asked if doctors have figured out the root cause of his problem, he emphatically said “hell no” before giving some examples of his desperation.

“I have done everything—scare me, drink water upside down, smell the a-- of a porcupine, it doesn’t work,” he continued.

Jackson has been heralded for the last 30 years as one of the best athletes to ever live due to his natural ability in football and baseball, but his natural gifts could have never prepared him for this battle. Hopefully, doctors can find out the root issue of the 60-year-old’s uncommon dilemma.
