Meet Your SI Swimsuit Cover Model: Brooks Nader
Brooks Nader has been part of the SI Swimsuit family since being discovered as part of the brand’s Swim Search program in 2019. After winning the open casting call competition, she’s returned to the magazine each year since, and her journey with SI Swimsuit has taken her everywhere from the Bahamas to Bali to Montenegro, and now Nader has graced the cover of the SI Swimsuit Issue.
“Empowerment for me is putting myself out there, and I’ve dealt with rejection a million times over,” Nader candidly shares of her journey in the modeling industry. “Dealing with rejection, moving on and keeping a positive attitude about it, and then it’s so much more worth it and empowering when you get the final yes.”

For her fifth SI Swimsuit photo shoot, Nader traveled to Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, where photographer James Macari snapped her cover shot. The tropical oasis, located in the Punta Cana area of the Caribbean country, is home to white-sand beaches that provided the ideal backdrop for the Barbiecore theme of Nader’s photo shoot. The Baton Rouge native donned a light pink bikini, a purple-and-pink strappy number and a hot-pink two-piece with ring detailing.
“I’ve grown so much over the years,” Nader says of her time with the iconic magazine franchise.
“[Nader’s] heart and hustle have not only landed her on the cover but have also positioned the 26-year-old for success in the business sphere,” editor in chief MJ Day shares.
This year, Nader joins three other women—actress Megan Fox, Grammy Award–winning artist Kim Petras and legendary lifestyle guru Martha Stewart—who were each honored with their own 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue cover.
