LSU star gymnast Olivia Dunne made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut in the 2023 edition, and she couldn’t contain her excitement just to herself.

The models are supposed to keep the news to themselves when they first get the call. However, Dunne couldn’t help but tell just one person: her mom.

“As soon as I got off the phone, I was jumping up and down,” Dunne said in a video interview with SI Swim. “I called my mom, even though you’re not supposed to tell anyone right away. I had to tell my mom.”

Dunne and her mom kept the secret under wraps until it was announced on April 27 that Dunne would be featured in the 2023 swimsuit edition. Then, she shared her exciting news with her over 11 million social media followers. She has over 4.1 million followers on Instagram and over 7.4 million TikTok followers.

The gymnast was the top female earner based on NIL valuation in 2022, as she was valued at $2.6 million by the end of the year. Her current NIL valuation has gone up to $3.4 million since then, according to On3.
