Your Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2023 Cover Models Are Martha Stewart, Megan Fox, Kim Petras and Brooks Nader
We are thrilled to announce that Martha Stewart, Megan Fox, Kim Petras and Brooks Nader are your 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue cover models. Each woman was photographed in an incredible location where her natural beauty was allowed to shine, with styling fit to her individual personality.
“There is no theme [to this year’s issue]—rather, there is a vision, a sentiment, a hope that women can live in a world where they feel no limitations, internally or externally,” says SI Swimsuit editor in chief MJ Day. “But the absence of a theme is not to say that [these women] don’t share certain common traits. They’re constantly evolving.”
Martha Stewart
There’s no arguing that Stewart is an absolute icon. The Emmy Award–winning television show host and founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia reaches more than 100 million fans monthly and, throughout her illustrious career, has written 99 lifestyle books. She’s also a proud mother and grandmother and, now 81, is the oldest SI Swimsuit cover model in the publication’s history. While Stewart says she doesn’t think about age very often, she does admit that the opportunity to pose in a swimsuit for the cover of the 2023 issue is, in fact, historic. She was photographed by Ruven Afanador in the Dominican Republic.
“Never in her life has she let her circumstances dictate her outcome,” Day says of Stewart. “She’s changed with the times—always one step ahead, it seems—to build a wide-reaching business empire.”
Megan Fox
Known for her breakout role in the 2007 blockbuster Transformers and other films like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, Till Death and Jennifer’s Body, Fox is much more than just an on-screen siren. While she’s landed on countless magazine covers, like Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone and Elle, and worked as an ambassador for Giorgio Armani Beauty, the 36-year-old is proudest of being a mom to her three kids. With her 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue cover, Fox hopes people will look beyond her outer beauty and understand that she is a thoughtful, articulate and deep person within. She was photographed by Greg Swales in the Dominican Republic.
“[Fox] humbly accepts her stunning beauty while simultaneously seeking to be seen and appreciated as the woman of intellect and internal beauty,” Day shares.
Kim Petras
Petras has been blazing a trail ever since releasing her first single, “I Don’t Want It at All,” six years ago. In February, the 30-year-old German pop star was the first transgender woman to win a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, for her collaboration with Sam Smith on the track “Unholy.” While she’s proud that the trans community is inspired by her work, she uses her platform to encourage others to reach for the stars, regardless of gender or sexuality. Petras was photographed by Yu Tsai in Los Angeles.
“The Grammy-winning pop star, a beacon of inspiration for the LGBTQ+ community, has blazed her own path to superstardom, but it has been anything but a straight line,” Day says.
Brooks Nader
A member of the SI Swimsuit family since 2019, Nader is a shining example of perseverance, someone who has never let a single “no” stop her from pursuing her dreams. After winning the ’19 Swim Search open casting call competition, Nader has returned to the SI Swimsuit fold every year since, working to amplify the message of the brand while developing her own. Her new jewelry collection with Electric Picks is featured on her cover. Nader was photographed by James Macari in the Dominican Republic.
“[Nader’s] heart and hustle have not only landed her on the cover but have also positioned the 26-year-old for success in the business sphere,” Day shares.
