How can you not be romantic about baseball?

Anybody who’s ever been to a ballpark more than a few times has likely bore witness to a mid-game marriage proposal. But an actual wedding ceremony? That’s reserved for the true baseball diehards. And that’s exactly what fans in attendance at Sunday’s game between the Giants and Marlins at Oracle Park got to see when one couple decided to take the plunge with America’s pastime as their backdrop.

The happy couple said, “I do” in front of nearly 30,000 fans, making for a special day that will surely be remembered by all that were in attendance. There was even a bouquet toss from the bride, which was caught by a fan wearing a Giants jersey.

Both the bride and groom incorporated orange into their big day attire, so it’s safe to assume they both root for the Giants. Thankfully, the home team came through with a 7–5 victory, winning for the fifth time in six games. Hopefully that happy result is a good omen for a long and happy marriage that will surely see plenty of future trips to the ballpark.
