NBA Stars Pay Homage to Carmelo Anthony After Retirement Announcement

Carmelo Anthony announced his retirement from the NBA on Monday, officially closing the curtain on a remarkable 19-year career. 

Throughout his 19 seasons in the NBA, “Melo” made 10 All-Star Games, earned six All-NBA selections and was included in the NBA’s 75th Anniversary team, a list of the game’s best 75 players ever. 

The former Nuggets and Knicks star, who also spent time with the Thunder, Rockets, Trail Blazers, Lakers and even the Hawks, received a slew of congratulations in the form of various social media posts. That included plenty of current and former NBA players, who chimed in to salute the 38-year-old on his legendary career.

Anthony responded to almost all of these shoutouts, including mentions from the likes of Chris PaulKristaps PorzingisGiannis Antetokounmpo, Dwyane Wade and many more from former opponents and teammates alike.
