Strictly in terms of comedic value, the Clippers' loss to the Suns in five games in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs has been basketball fans’ gain.

Had Los Angeles made a run this postseason, Clippers forward Paul George would likely have found himself occupied and neglected his podcast, Podcast P with Paul George. Such a run did not come to pass, however, and George has made the most of his free time.

First, George hosted Rockets guard Jalen Green for a hilarious conversation about life on Twitter. On Monday, George added to his repertoire by memorably impersonating Hall of Fame forward and TNT pundit Charles Barkley.

“I wanna hear some Charles Barkley,” co-host Dallas Rutherford said to George in an episode featuring Aces forward A’ja Wilson.

Jayson Tatum,” George responded in Barkley’s trademark Alabama drawl as all four panelists busted up laughing. “Jah-son. Ah-ja? How do you say the name?”

Barkley has taken shots at George before, particularly when the eight-time All-Star disclosed his struggles with depression and anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, three years and two All-Star appearances later, it seems that George has had the last laugh on and off the court.
