Brandon Miller’s Head-Scratching GOAT Choice Baffled NBA Fans
Alabama forward Brandon Miller, a surefire top three prospect in Thursday’s NBA draft, met with reporters and made a baffling choice for his greatest player of all-time.
Forget the Michael Jordan-LeBron James debate, Miller has a pick that he believes trumps both players.
Paul George.
Yep, you read that right.
“I actually don’t think LeBron is the GOAT of basketball,” Miller began. “My GOAT of basketball is Paul George. I grew up watching him. It was never just LeBron.”
The account for George’s podcast saw the clip hit social media, and made sure to reach out to Miller to show his appreciation.
“S/O projected top 3 pick Brandon Miller for his GOAT response. That’s love, [Brandon Miller].”
George has had a great career so far. He’s an eight-time All-Star. He’s averaged 23.8 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game and 5.1 assists per game on 45.7% shooting from the floor. He’s been named All-NBA six different times.
While he has never won a championship in his career, the 33-year-old has a Hall of Fame trajectory.
But greatest of all-time? No chance.
NBA Twitter reacted as only it could. Here’s some of the best responses to Miller’s GOAT claim.
