Gradey Dick, Scoot Henderson Turn Heads at NBA Draft With Audacious Suits
Two top NBA draft prospects are garnering attention, not for their talents on the court, but for their style off the court just hours prior to realizing their lifelong dreams of hearing their names called on draft night.
Former Kansas standout Gradey Dick, stole the show with his Wizard of Oz inspired red suit adorned with a matching pair of red bottom shoes. Dick, who averaged 14.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in his one season with the Jayhawks, will certainly not be playing “in Kansas anymore” after this evening.
“So I’m from Kansas,” Dick said while showing his outfit for tonight’s big stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. “Dorothy has her little slippers, I’ve got my Dorothy suit.”
Dick wasn’t the only top talent to grab attention on social media on Thursday night as former G League Ignite star Scoot Henderson is sporting multicolored teeth, a jacket of birthstone colored jewels and several standout diamond chains.
When asked about the three best features of his outfit, Henderson stated, “the colors on the jacket, the ring (on his finger) and then this,” pointing to his grill which featured the colors of the birthstones of his siblings.
The electric guard, who averaged 14.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.7 steals this past season with the Ignite, is expected to come off the board among the first three overall picks on Thursday night.
