Nationals manager Dave Martinez was ejected for the second time in the past week Wednesday afternoon.

The argument that led to Martinez’s ejection happened in the sixth inning against the Mariners after Washington catcher Keibert Ruiz was called out for running out of the baseline as he tried to score. The Nationals announcers couldn’t believe Ruiz was called out, and neither could Martinez as he stormed onto the field and began arguing with home plate umpire Derek Thomas.

The Nationals announcers couldn’t help but poke fun at what they thought Thomas might be saying during Martinez’s elaborate performance.

“‘Look at me! I can throw you out,’” one of the announcers said in a mimicking voice.

Martinez then turned his attention to crew chief Mark Carlson and gave Carlson a piece of his mind.

Here’s a look at the exchange.

Unlike last Thursday’s exchange between Martinez and umpire Doug Eddings, which was caught on a microphone, Wednesday’s argument couldn’t be overheard.
