The Giants star is clearly not allowing his current contract dispute from deterring him from hitting the weight room extra hard.

Saquon Barkley is clearly not allowing his contract situation with the Giants to deter him from hitting the weight room in peak fashion.

On Thursday, the two-time Pro Bowler posted an eye-popping video to his Twitter page displaying him squatting an insane amount of weight.

The fourth-year back, who rushed for a career-high 1,312 yards last season, was shown squatting 585 pounds—while barefoot! The former Penn State standout didn’t just squat the impressive weight one time either. In fact, the video shows him completing four reps with absolute ease.

Barkley, who finished as the NFL’s fourth-leading rusher last season, was slapped with the franchise tag back in April.

Despite being unhappy with his current situation, Barkley was clearly intent on showing the football world that he is not simply sitting back as the July 17 contract deadline rapidly approaches.

If the two sides cannot come to an agreement on a long-term contract extension, the star back will be forced to play 2023 under the $10.1 million franchise tag.
