Stephen Curry Boldly Trolls Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce Ahead of ‘The Match’
Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are set to take on Chiefs duo Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in the annual golf competition, ‘The Match’ on Thursday, June 29.
Ahead of the showdown, Curry turned up the stakes a little bit, posting a video to Instagram in which he takes a jab at Mahomes and Kelce.
In the video, Curry is kicking back on the couch with his putter in hand and opens YouTube on his TV. He proceeded to search the highlights from the Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss against the Buccaneers.
“It’s gonna be the same thing in Vegas, baby,” said Curry after laughing at a video of Mahomes turning the ball over against the Chargers.
The Instagram post was captioned, “Idk if y’all are ready for us. See you on the course.”
The tandem of Golden State and Kansas City stars are set to take to the golf course at the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas. Heading into the matchup, it’s the Warriors’ pair that are favored.
Curry was hoping to add to the intrigue with his troll job of Mahomes and Kelce, but he better hope he hasn’t lit a fire under the Chiefs quarterback and tight end, who are likely not very familiar with being considered underdogs.
