Draymond Green Chirped With Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce Over Postseason Failures

Warriors star Draymond Green may not have been playing in Thursday night’s edition of The Match, but he made sure to provide some of the trash talking from the sidelines.

Green followed his Warriors teammates Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as they competed against Chiefs teammates Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs stars took the lead at first, going up 3–0 after four holes. Once the Warriors team took a hole to make it 3–1, Mahomes made a comment about still being confident with the lead, potentially referring to the infamous 2016 Finals in which Golden State lost after leading the Cavs by the same margin.

Immediately after this comment, Green was heard trolling the Chiefs’ previous playoff downfall from the 2021 season.

“Y’all over here talking about 3–1, like [Bengals quarterback] Joey Burrow ain’t send your a-- home a year ago,” Green said while chuckling on the side.

Green had to get a jab back in reference to the AFC championship game between the Chiefs and the Bengals in the 2021 season, in which Mahomes and Kansas City lost despite holding a 21–10 halftime lead. Green sounded ready to pull out that diss as soon as the greatest comeback (and blown lead) in NBA Finals history was brought up.
