In this story:

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Steven Matz got one of the easiest strikeouts of his career Sunday when he got Chicago White Sox slugger Eloy Jimenez looking at a called third strike.

Well, Jimenez wasn’t really looking at the pitch—he was too busy walking back to the dugout after not being granted a timeout by home plate umpire Alfonso Marquez.

Chicago’s designated hitter wanted a quick break after falling behind in the count, 0-2, but he appeared to call time just a little too late. This was a bizarre scene, as Jimenez just basically gave up and walked away.
