Stephen A. Smith Perfectly Trolled Dak Prescott After Cowboys QB Made Bold Guarantee

The ESPN personality doesn’t appear to be convinced by the quarterback’s promise ahead of the 2023 season.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had a season to forget in 2022, missing time due to a thumb injury and struggling with accuracy on the field.

After throwing 15 interceptions last year, tied with the Texans’ Davis Mills for the league high despite appearing in just 12 games, Dallas’s starting signal caller boldly guaranteed he’d throw fewer than 10 picks in 2023, though not everyone seems to be buying what he’s selling.

“I won’t have 10 interceptions this year,” said Prescott.

ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith caught wind of Prescott’s promise, and he took to Twitter to cast his doubts over the claim while simultaneously trolling the 29-year-old without writing a single word.

Prescott clearly is confident in his ability to protect the football under new offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, who takes over following Kellen Moore’s departure to the Chargers.

Smith, on the other hand, didn’t hesitate to suggest he’s vastly less optimistic about that promise coming to fruition. Although he didn’t leave a written message on his tweet, the photo of his own skeptical facial expression says more than words ever could.

Prescott hasn’t thrown fewer than 10 interceptions since the 2020 season, when he was picked off four times in just five games. When starting at least 12 games, the Cowboys QB has thrown double-digit interceptions in four of six seasons.

He’s pledging to turn that trend around in 2023, though he’ll have to prove himself on the field before he makes a believer out of Smith.
