It’s safe to say Steelers fans weren’t exactly thrilled with the team’s offense last season, and those same feelings were directed toward offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Pittsburgh was ranked No. 23 in offensive yards per game in 2022, No. 24 in passing yards per game and No. 16 in rushing yards per game.

While the Steelers opted to retain Canada for the 2023 NFL season, it came with plenty of scrutiny from fans. The hope remains that the offense can take a big step forward with quarterback Kenny Pickett entering his second season, but for the time being, Canada isn’t getting much love from the fanbase.

And in what appears to be a “wrong place, wrong time” photo, Canada was spotted signing a literal toilet seat.

UPDATE: Kudos to Canada for being a good guy, as this was part of a challenge by SteelersU on Instagram to get random items signed at training camp. The creator of the page reached out and explained the challenge while also citing how nice Canada was while signing the toilet seat. More on the challenge can be seen on the SteelersU Instagram page.

To no one’s surprise, the fans couldn’t help themselves after seeing this one, and the jokes began pouring in:

For good measure, some fans actually gave credit to Canada for rolling with it and signing the toilet seat.
