Brewers rookie reliever Abner Uribe already is making a name for himself among baseball fans despite having thrown just 10 2/3 innings at the MLB level.

During a relief appearance on Sunday, Uribe showcased some devastating movement on his sinker, striking out the Pirates’ Jack Suwinski on a pitch that quite frankly wasn’t even fair.

Suwinski didn’t stand a chance against the 99-mph sinker from Uribe, which broke away from the plate in jaw-dropping fashion. What first appeared to be a hittable pitch for the left-handed batter ended up diving nearly a foot off the plate, in what was one of the nastiest pitches of the 2023 MLB season.

Much like Suwinski, baseball fans were in utter disbelief over the physics-defying movement on Uribe’s sinker. Fans took to social media to voice their utter shock over the incredible pitch, which many observers described as the best pitch they’d ever seen.
