MLB Fans Rightfully Had One Problem With Bobby Witt Jr.’s Inside-the-Park Home Run

Royals star shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. made some history Monday night when he raced around the bases for the fourth fastest inside-the-park home run in the Statcast era (since 2015).
While the play was a lot of fun, lots of MLB fans rightfully had the same question about the scoring: How was it ruled an inside-the-park home run when it clearly looked like an error by Mariners right fielder Dominic Canzone?
Witt hit a hard liner to right, which seemed like a playable ball but Canzone appeared to lose it in the lights at the last moment and Witt went on to circle the bases.

Not an error? Really?
MLB fans sure thought it was:
I’m old enough to remember when we called this E-9 https://t.co/ztJcXTlEpA

You be the official scorer. https://t.co/kZpeI4sjTK
You keep calling it a home run when it's clearly an error https://t.co/szAmWCkXLH
