Judge announced that he was signing with the Jordan Brand by recreating an iconic photo, and baseball fans crushed him for it.

Yankees star Aaron Judge announced his deal to sign with the Jordan Brand on Friday. And the announcement came with Judge recreating an iconic picture that Michael Jordan made famous 25 years ago.

Judge sat down with his hand to his face, rocking a Jordan brand ring on his finger. The photo was meant to recreate Jordan’s “6 Rings” portrait that was taken after MJ won his sixth and final championship in 1998.

Judge, who is one of the best players in baseball, but has never won a championship, naturally got crushed for the portrait that was posted on social media.

Baseball fans couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

I suppose whoever OK’d the marketing move for Judge probably wishes they could have this one back.

Alas, this photo will go down in history, but perhaps for all the wrong reasons.
