Kevin Hart Suffers Torn Muscles in 40-Yard Dash Against Ex-NFL RB
Kevin Hart is usually in the business of making other people laugh, but the famous actor and comedian isn’t afraid to chuckle at himself.
He proved it by admitting that he injured himself after challenging former Patriots running back Stevan Ridley to a race in the 40-yard dash.
Hart, 44, revealed the details Wednesday on Instagram. He explained that what began as a friendly debate about who’s faster ended in pain. Indeed, Hart said he’s temporarily wheelchair-bound after tearing abdomen and hip adductor muscles while racing the 34-year-old Ridley.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the age 40, is real,” Hart said. “It’s not a game, respect that age. Respect that age, or that age will make you respect it. I was just forced to respect it.”
Hart continued his explanation of what happened by poking fun at his age and the self-inflicted damage, saying he “tried to jump out there and do some young stuff. Tried to go out there and do some young man stuff, and I was told to sit my a– down.”
But as Ridley pointed out in a response to Hart’s post, there’s a reason why only a handful of athletes, namely one of his former Patriots teammates, can still get it done after age 40.
“I saw @TomBrady do it at your age so I figured you had the juice too big bro!” Ridley said of his former Pats teammate. “My bad @KevinHart4Real! Heal up and keep making us all laugh!”
