Following the news of Trey Lance being traded to Dallas, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith couldn’t pass up the opportunity to troll Dak Prescott and the Cowboys.

Late Friday night, Smith posted a video on his social media page, roasting the club while poking fun at Dallas’s potential trust issues in Prescott.

“I see what you are trying to do trading for another quarterback Dallas Cowboys, could that be because you don’t have that much faith in Dak Prescott?” a laughing Smith asked. “Could that be the reason, could that be the reason?

“I am not sure, I am just asking. You got another quarterback. I wonder why?”

While trying to hold back his laughter, Smith also alluded to the success of Cooper Rush last season, while staking claim to his contention that trading for Lance will not help the Cowboys in any way in 2023.

“Didn’t Cooper Rush go 5–1 as a starter for you last year? What do you need a quarterback for? What do you a need another quarterback for? I am just asking,” Smith continued. “I don’t know the answer to that question, but I do know this it ain’t going to help you this year. See ya soon, ya hear.”
