NFL Fans Crushed the Bears After They Got Destroyed by Jordan Love-Led Packers
Packers quarterback Jordan Love may be the new sheriff in town, but the first-year starter quickly endeared himself to cheeseheads everywhere Sunday after leading his team to another dominant win over the Bears.
A 38–20 Packers victory in Chicago saw Love out-duel Justin Fields to finish the day 15–of–27 for 245 yards and three touchdown passes. The lopsided contest marked the ninth-straight victory for the Packers and coach Matt LaFleur, who’s never lost to the Bears, over their NFC North rival.
With Love & Co in control for most of the afternoon, many Chicago fans, after years of bitter Ls at the hands of Green Bay, appeared to have enough of the game near its end and began marching out of Soldier Field with more than 12 minutes left in regulation.
Sunday’s embarrassing performance, combined with the shot of the stands emptying by the minute, summed up what was an all-around forgettable season opener for Fields, the Bears and their (usually) loyal fans.
