Jets’ Radio Call of Xavier Gipson’s Game-Winning Punt Return TD Was So Good

The New York Jets’ season opener against the Buffalo Bills started in the worst way possible, with Aaron Rodgers leaving with an injured ankle just four snaps into their first drive.

A few hours later, however, their night ended in pure bedlam with rookie Xavier Gipson returning a punt 65 yards to the house for a walk-off touchdown a few minutes into overtime.

While the Jets wait and see how bad the news is with Rodgers’s injury, they can celebrate a wild win that saw them fight back to tie the game in the fourth quarter on a beautiful TD grab Garrett Wilson and take a late lead with a field goal.

Then, after the Bills forced OT with a last-second field goal of their own, Gipson sent MetLife Stadium into hysterics with his punt return.
