Mark Sanchez Made the Perfect Joke After Josh Allen's Costly Fumble vs. Jets

Josh Allen’s fumble was a bit too familiar for Mark Sanchez.

Josh Allen had a night to forget on Monday against the Jets, when he turned the ball over four times, including three interceptions to Jordan Whitehead and a fumble during which he ran into his own teammate.

Former New York quarterback Mark Sanchez was tuned into the AFC East rivalry on Monday night, and he had the perfect reaction to Allen’s teammate-induced fumble.

Sanchez poked fun at the most infamous play of his own career on X, while also taking a funny shot at Allen after his fourth turnover.

“Josh Allen just ran into his own guy and fumbled... weird,” wrote Sanchez on X, alongside a shrugging emoji.

Sanchez, of course, was best known for the “Butt Fumble,” an unfortunate play which followed him throughout his career. After Allen had a similar mishap in Monday’s game against Sanchez’s former team, the 36-year-old couldn’t resist the opportunity to make a quick joke.

When Allen tried to rush up the middle after a bad snap, he ran straight into tight end Quintin Morris, before falling to the ground and losing the ball in the process.

The fumble was particularly costly, having occurred on the first play of Buffalo’s possession after a game-tying touchdown catch from Garrett Wilson.
