Ryan Ward on the Possibility of LeBron James Leaving the Lakers

Is LeBron James' time with the Lakers running out?
In this story:

In one of the more shocking developments, the NBA trade deadline came and went, and the Los Angeles Lakers made zero moves. While many believe they are hoarding their assets for the buyout market, it might have been a mistake not to try and upgrade the roster.

LeBron James being the king of basketball and cryptic tweets, tweeted out an hourglass around a week ago, indicating that his time in the league or with the Lakers is likely coming to a close. Ryan Ward discussed exactly this in the newest episode of Bleav in Lakers.

"There's always rumors flying around about the Lakers and who they might be getting next to put next to A.D and LeBron. But it never works you know it never seems excuse to come to fruition. So I'm tired of kind of hearing that narrative and believing it...And I think LeBron is kind of, you know, he's kind of giving you tips and hints as to what he wants to do. I mean, that hourglass emoji, you mean, was a big kind of, you know, my time's running out here or I mean, you could go any different way."

The issue is that James is not getting any younger, and though he is still playing at a high level at the age of 39, he cannot keep this pace forever.

The Lakers have to believe they can win a championship with their current roster to not have made a move during the deadline. It's either that or head coach Darvin Ham is just showing another reason why he might be in over his head as the coach.

Either way, James can't wait around for much longer. Hopefully, the Lakers will get a difference-maker during the buyout, and it can aid James in securing one more ring before he retires or is traded to a final team.
