Deion Sanders on Two Buffaloes Players Being Heisman Trophy Hopefuls, "It's Great For the Whole Team"

Deion Sanders joined Zero 2 Sixty and discussed how beneficial it is to have two players on his team being potential Heisman Trophy recipients.
In this story:

The world has been captivated by Deion "Primetime" Sanders and his ability to inspire his players on the Colorado Buffaloes team. The team became an instant storyline, not just because Primetime became the coach.

The team features two players in QB Shedeur Sanders (Prime's son), and CB/WB Travis Hunter who should be in the conversation for Heisman Trophy conversations. They will also likely be picked high in the draft when that time comes.

While Deion Sanders has been the face of the team, he understands that having two Heisman Trophy hopefuls will be beneficial for every player on his team. He joins Zero 2 Sixty to discuss the benefit of his players attracting far more scouts.

"Well, it's not only exciting, it's great for the rest of the team. Forget the Heisman, but let's think about where they're rated in the draft. The guys are like one and two, both in the top five. You know how many scouts come in silence for spring or fall?"

Sanders is correct in stating that many NFL scouts will be heading to view Shedeur and Hunter, but that will also allow other star players to get their time to shine as well. The football world can often surround itself with big storylines like Travis Hunter, with other players not getting their due time.

"Yeah, but they go and get the see our other kids. They're going to get to see the linemen that we brought in, the defensive ends, pass rushers, and some guys in the secondary. I mean, they're going to get to see the tight ends, going to get to see everything that we feature, two of our kickers that are phenomenal, three of them are phenomenal."

Sanders is again stating that the benefit of having two potential Heisman Trophy winners means that other lesser-known players will get to shine. This could be huge for many of the unsung heroes on the team.
