Meghan Robinson on Oklahoma State Being Underrated, "Stop Disrespecting Us"

Meghan Robinson of Bleav in OK State calls out pundits who have left Oklahoma State off a top team playoff list.

It's not easy to predict which NCAAF teams will be part of the College Football Playoffs, but based on 2023 performances and staff/player retention, it can be gathered which teams will be ahead of the curve.

One such team should be Oklahoma State, who finished 2023 with a 10-4 record, #2 in the Big 12, and a Texas Bowl win. Meghan Robinson of Bleav in OK State breaks down why people need to stop counting the team out.

"When I was reading some of the articles on ESPN.com, they had a bunch of like college football writers talking about the playoffs, and they had their way too early predictions and there were like four or five writers, those who they predicted would be in the 12 team playoff and not a single person had Oklahoma State."

Analysts and pundits can often provide some rather dicey takes in terms of predictions. The more controversial they are, the more people are willing to tune in to see what is said. There is no telling if OK State will be a top team, but their performance last season should indicate they are going to be a top team.

"That is offensive to me because we finished this season a top 20 program, and we're returning so many starters, including the Doak Walker winner in Ollie Gordon, future Heisman finalist, probably Heisman winner. We're speaking it into existence. And I just am sick and tired of the disrespect and Fan Duelputting over/under at  7 1/2 wins this season. I'm like 'A. if you're a better take the over take over' and stop disrespecting us, everybody."

Robinson has a point. You can't discredit the fact that Ollie Gordon will be returning to the team. Gordon finished the season with 1,732 yards and 21 TDs. Those are some huge stats.

Oklahoma State has a chance to shock the world next season, and Robinson knows that the sports world should look out for them.
