Bennie Fowler Predicts Surprising Super Bowl Standout Player

Bennie Fowler joins Pat Leonard and Talkin Ball to pick his Super Bowl winner and a surprising standout player.

The Super Bowl MVP is a wonderful honor bestowed on the player who made the biggest significance. While it's only designated for one player, there are still those who should contribute greatly to their team's winning.

Bennie Fowler joined Talkin' Ball with Pat Leonard to discuss who he thinks will be the game's breakout player, and his pick might be a bit shocking to fans.

"For some reason, I think Clyde Edwards-Helaire is going to have a big game. Just based off of what I've watched with Detroit and how they ran the ball. Clyde Edwards-Helaire has that type of ability in terms of running the ball. He's not a Jahmyr Gibbs, but he's close and he runs outside. I think that he can make that type of play."

Fowler believes that the difference maker for the Chiefs in the Super Bowl could be running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. This is a bit of a shocking pick here, as Edwards-Helaire has only secured 53 yards in the postseason so far.

However, his low number of rushing yards might make him a viable pick in terms of a breakout. The 49ers might be preparing more for Isiah Pachecho, and forget that Edwards-Helaire can run away at any moment.

The Super Bowl always gives way to surprising moments, and it could be that the Chiefs are preparing far more designed runs that they can use to move the chains.

We will see what happens today, but picking a player who has been underperforming a bit in the postseason is a bit wild. The 49ers also have a good run defense, but head coach Andy Reid will be pulling out all the stops to get this third ring in the last five years.
