Browns' Quarterback Joe Flacco is Playing with House Money

Joe Flacco's unexpected role with the Cleveland Browns has him feeling like he's playing with house money, and his performance reflects that newfound freedom

After another outstanding performance from Joe Flacco on Thursday night, Eric Metcalf and Max Loeb discussed the quarterback's play on The Dawg Check podcast. Metcalf thinks Flacco is playing at an MVP level because he is comfortable and has a reliable defense to fall back on.

"He can do whatever he wants because he's not going to the bench. He can be the gunslinger that he wants to be. Kevin Stefanski is giving him the opportunity to make these throws downfield," said Metcalf. "I think it has been a lot easier for Flacco playing with house money and also Stefanski and the play calling because you don't have to worry about run-pass options and things like that."

Flacco is now 4-1 as a starter for Cleveland and hopes to lead the Browns on a deep playoff run. As a former Super Bowl champion, Flacco knows what it takes and appears to have just enough juice left in the tank.

The Browns are +1200 to win the AFC Championship this year according to BetOnline.
