Chris Hogan on Mahomes and Kelce, “The Best Players Show Up When They Are Needed the Most”

Chris Hogan details why the Chiefs are in a much better position to take home the Super Bowl win.

There is a strong divide between championship-caliber teams and those who are playoff hopefuls, but ultimately fail to show up when it matters most. The Kansas City Chiefs are packed with players who show up when it matters, which includes superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

Chris Hogan, formerly of the Super Bowl-winning New England Patriots, knows this all too well. He dives into this fact on the Patriots Report, and how the Chiefs are slated to bring home another big win.

"I think Kelce knows what it takes. I think a lot of those guys know what it takes to win this football game and that, and the best players show up when you know they're needed the most. And those guys did it, a few weeks ago in their championship game."

Hogan knows a thing or two about showing up when it matters, and Kelce has been automatic in the playoffs. Plenty of people have been critical of his in-season play, but does that matter at the end of the day? As long as he makes big plays in the games that matter most, the 49ers will have a problem on their hands.

"They [49ers] have to start fast. If you get behind in this game, the Chiefs know how to win. They know how to win football games. They know how to play from ahead."

The 49ers do have to start fast if they are going to have any shot at taking down the Chiefs. This 49ers team has not yet made it to the big show, but the Chiefs have been here multiple times.

Whoever can start the fastest is more than likely to win this game. It's just the Chiefs have Mahomes and Kelce, who are dynamite when it matters.
