Former Detroit Lion Safety Glover Quin Doesn't Think Fans Should Boo Rams Matthew Stafford
Matthew Stafford will visit Detroit in the first round of the NFL playoffs after having been the franchise quarterback for the Lions for over a decade. Glover Quin talked about this dynamic with Jack Cavanagh on the most recent episode of the Bleav in Lions podcast.
"As a fan, you either liked Stafford when he played here, or you didn't," said Quin. "I have nothing against the fans being rowdy or whatever you want to call it, but if we didn't boo Nick Mullens on Sunday when the game started, then why are we booing Matt Stafford. If the crowd gets excited and loud, that is normal, but why are we booing? People boo because a player left on bad terms."
Stafford is the Lions' all-time leading passer, giving them all he could during his time in Detroit. He rarely had a team with enough talent around him to compete for a championship, and when he was ultimately traded, there was no bad blood between the star quarterback and the franchise. The Lions are three-point favorites over the Rams this weekend, according to BetOnline.
