Former Raven: Stroud will struggle to “be comfortable” and “get in rhythm” against Baltimore

This weekend should create a challenging matchup for CJ Stroud, he will face difficulties finding his comfort and rhythm against the Baltimore defense

The Baltimore Ravens are matched up in the divisional round with a Texans team led by rookie sensation C.J. Stroud. On this week’s edition of the Bleav in Ravens podcast, Daniel Wilcox and Khari Thompson discussed what the Ravens must do to contain the youngest starting quarterback to win a playoff game.

“I don’t feel like (Stroud) is going to be comfortable back there, and I don’t feel like he is going to be able to get in rhythm back there,” said Wilcox. “I feel like he is going to be running for his life at some point in this game, and to me, that is what it is all about. I think the Houston Texans would be a fool not to try to do the exact same thing to Lamar.”

Sending extra pressure at young quarterbacks is typically the game plan for opposing defenses. Baltimore will certainly try to speed up the Stroud’s decision-making process, and it will be interesting to see how the rookie handles the rush. The Texans are nine-point underdogs to the Ravens this weekend, according to BetOnline.
