Hogan's Patriots Prediction: Belichick Stays if Visions Align

Chris Hogan's forecast for the New England Patriots: Bill Belichick's continued tenure hinges on the alignment of visions within the organization.

Chris Hogan gave some insight into what the state of the Patriots organization might look like right now inside the locker room and front office. The retired wide receiver talked with Christopher Price of the Boston Globe about his former organization's struggles on their show The Patriots Report.

"If their vision for this team aligns, and Bill wants to remain the head coach, I think he remains the head coach," said Hogan.

Price talked about the idea of Bill Belichick retaining his head coaching duties but letting go of his general manager responsibilities.

"I still think there is the possibility to have some sort of adjusted front office going into the 2024 season that still leads to Bill as the head coach," said Price.

Hogan was adamant that there is no tanking in the NFL. Despite the Patriots' 3-11 record, the players still want to win above everything else.

"Give these guys a little bit more respect than just saying everyone is on to next year," said Hogan. "They are not. We have heard how vocal these guys are in the locker room about how there is no tanking. There is no tanking in the NFL. These guys are going out there week in and week out trying to win football games."

It will be interesting to see if Robert Kraft and Belichick give it another go in the post-Tom Brady era. New England is a 6.5-point underdog against the Broncos in Week 16 according to BetOnline.
